1) Summary
We collect certain information to operate the Service. This includes: email address (for accounts/verification) and IP address (for security, fraud prevention, and basic analytics).
We do not sell personal information and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising.
The Service includes user-generated content (for example, event listings) that may be public depending on how the Service is used. Please be mindful of what you post.
This summary is not a substitute for the full policy below.
2) Information We Collect
A) Information you provide
- Account information: email address and any profile information you choose to provide.
- Content you submit: user-generated content such as event listings, comments, and messages (if available on the Service).
- Support communications: information you provide when you contact us (e.g., emails to support/legal).
B) Information collected automatically
- IP address and basic log data (e.g., timestamps, pages viewed, error logs, device/browser type).
- Security and fraud signals (e.g., login attempts, rate-limit events, suspected abuse).
- Application diagnostics collected by our monitoring provider (for example, Sentry), such as error events, stack traces, browser/device metadata, approximate location inferred from IP address, page/URL context, and (when enabled in our monitoring configuration) certain identifiers such as IP address and user/account identifiers needed to investigate and fix failures. We configure our monitoring to scrub request bodies, headers, and form fields that are likely to contain sensitive data (e.g., passwords, payment information, authentication tokens). Monitoring data is used solely for security, reliability, debugging, and abuse prevention, and is retained per Section 8.
C) Sensitive Personal Information
We do not intentionally collect or process sensitive personal information (as defined under the California CCPA/CPRA, Texas TDPSA, and other state privacy laws), including precise geolocation, government identifiers, racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, genetic or biometric data, health data, or the contents of mail, email, or text messages, except where you voluntarily provide it in support communications. Payment card information is submitted directly to Stripe by your browser and is not received or stored by us (see Section 6).
Note: The exact data we collect may vary based on the features you use and how the Service is configured over time.
3) How We Use Information
We use information for the following purposes:
- To provide, operate, and maintain the Service (including account creation and email verification).
- To secure the Service, prevent fraud, enforce our Terms, and protect users (including using IP addresses and logs).
- To process transactions and support paid features (including API access and event registration payments).
- To respond to support requests and communicate with you (including material policy/terms updates).
- To improve the Service, troubleshoot issues, and perform basic analytics.
- To comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
5) User-Generated Content and Public Information
The Service includes user-generated content (such as event listings). Depending on the Service features and your settings, your User Content may be publicly visible.
Please do not post sensitive personal information (such as government IDs, financial account numbers, or other confidential information) in public areas of the Service.
If you choose to share content with others (for example by posting a public event listing), that information can be accessed, copied, or shared by others. Our Terms prohibit copying/scraping, but we cannot guarantee third parties will comply.
6) Payments (Stripe / Stripe Connect)
We use Stripe and Stripe Connect to process payments, including paid features and event registration payments between Organizers and Attendees.
When you make a payment, your card details are submitted directly to Stripe through Stripe-hosted forms (Stripe Elements/Checkout) and do not transit or get stored on CamberPass servers. We receive limited information about payments (such as transaction confirmation, last four digits of the card, and amounts) used to operate the Service and provide receipts.
For details, review Stripe’s privacy practices and terms (made available by Stripe).
8) Data Retention
We retain personal information for the periods needed to fulfill the purposes described in this policy. We use the following criteria:
- Account data (email, profile): for the life of the account, plus up to 24 months after deletion in backups before being overwritten.
- Transaction records (Stripe metadata, receipts): up to 7 years to comply with tax and financial recordkeeping obligations.
- Security and access logs: up to 12 months.
- Error monitoring data (Sentry): 90 days by default.
- User-generated content (event listings): for the life of the account, or until you delete it; cached/backup copies may persist up to 90 days.
- Support communications: up to 24 months after resolution.
After these periods, we delete or de-identify the data unless a longer period is required by law (for example, litigation hold).
9) Security and Breach Notification
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for protecting your account credentials and notifying us promptly of any suspected unauthorized access.
In the event of a security breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected individuals without unreasonable delay and in any event no later than 60 days after determination of the breach, as required by Texas Business & Commerce Code § 521.053 and other applicable state breach notification laws. If 250 or more Texas residents are affected, we will also notify the Texas Attorney General as required by law.
10) Children (13+)
The Service is intended for users age 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will delete that information promptly and terminate the account. Parents or guardians who believe their child has provided us personal information may contact legal@camberpass.com to request deletion.
For California residents under 16 and residents of other states with minor-specific rules, we do not sell or share personal information of known minors without opt-in consent (from the minor if 13–15, or from a parent if under 13).

You may request deletion of your account by contacting us at legal@camberpass.com. We may retain certain information as described in this policy (for example, for security, fraud prevention, and legal compliance).
C) Email Communications
Transactional emails (account verification, receipts, security notices, material policy changes) are required to provide the Service and cannot be opted out of without closing your account. Marketing emails, if any, will identify themselves as such, include our postal address (5900 Balcones Drive, STE 100, Austin, TX 78731), and provide a functional unsubscribe link. We honor opt-out requests within 10 business days as required by the CAN-SPAM Act (15 U.S.C. § 7701 et seq.).
D) Texas Residents (TDPSA)
If you are a Texas resident, you may have the right to: (i) confirm whether we process your personal data and access it; (ii) correct inaccuracies; (iii) delete personal data you provided or we obtained; (iv) obtain a portable copy; and (v) opt out of (a) targeted advertising, (b) the sale of personal data, and (c) profiling in furtherance of decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects. We do not sell personal data and do not engage in targeted advertising or such profiling. To exercise rights, email legal@camberpass.com. We will respond within 45 days. You may appeal a denial by replying to our response; if your appeal is denied, you may contact the Texas Attorney General.
E) California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)
Categories of personal information we collect (per Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.140): identifiers (email, IP, account ID); internet/network activity (logs, error events); commercial information (transaction records); approximate geolocation (from IP); and inferences drawn from the above. We collect these from you directly, automatically from your device, and from Stripe regarding payments. We retain each category for the periods described in Section 8.
Sources, purposes, and recipients are described in Sections 2, 3, and 4. We do not “sell” personal information and do not “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under the CCPA. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.

We do not engage in any of these activities. Email legal@camberpass.com to exercise rights. Where applicable law provides an appeal process, you may appeal a denial by replying to our response within 45 days.
G) Verification and Process
To protect your information, we verify rights requests by confirming control of the email address on your account and may request additional information sufficient to match you to data we hold. We will not use that information for any other purpose. We do not charge a fee for the first request in a 12-month period. We will respond within 45 days (extendable once by 45 days with notice). You will not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.
12) International Transfers
If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States or other locations where we or our service providers operate. Those locations may have different data protection laws than your jurisdiction.
Where personal data is transferred from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland to the United States, we rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum where applicable) entered into with our processors, supplemented by appropriate technical and organizational measures.
13) EEA/UK Users
The Service is operated from the United States and is intended for users in the United States. We do not target the EEA or UK. If you access the Service from those regions, the legal bases on which we process personal data are: performance of a contract (account/payments), legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, error monitoring, service improvement), consent (optional analytics cookies, where used), and legal obligation. You may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability, and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Contact legal@camberpass.com. CamberPass is the controller for personal data processed via the Service.
14) Changes to This Policy
